What the hell is going on in Asia?

In 2 weeks we’re leaving for our Big Asia Trip and it seems that mother nature is trying to tell us something. Here’s a little press coverage from the last weeks.

Myanmar (Burma): civil unrest as people and monks protest against the Junta. Read on how this evolves on Irrawaddy

Indonesia: was hit by two major earthquakes last month. Two big earthquakes in a row is very uncommon, even for Indonesia, which is often plagued by them.

China: the south of China sees the most heavy rainfall in years, leaving thousands homeless and a lot of crops wasted. This is actually the first country we’re visiting… let’s hope the damage is “limited” :-s

 Well at least, there’s no bad news from Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam :-)
