How to fit 2 Belgians

As almost every backpacker we ended up sleeping at Mama Naxi’s place in Lijiang. The first night they managed to cram the 2 of us in 1 tiny bed, but the second night we moved to another room. Mama Naxi realy is as kind as everybody tells she is. As we were hanging around waiting for the rain to stop she offered us baba (a local 4 0′clock snack), apples, … And when we left she even gave us 2 necklaces to bring us luck… Oooooh so sweet

Oh yes, before I forget… there is something strange with the Chinese bed-habits… as for more than a week we are trying to find a place with a double bed, but they don’t seem to sleep in one bed. Or do they realy fit 2 chinese in one bed?

We didn’t told much about Shangri-La. But this is worth mentioning. Wauw… they had a superb rainshower at the Tibetan Hostel … unfortunately only the main showerhead worked an there was no hot water, but… there were electric blankets!
